Dr. Who

When I was a kid I watched Dr. Who whenever I could. I just started watching the new episodes from 2005 and I forgot how much I loved this show with its charm that made it "Dr. Who"

I found myself searching for torrents for Dr. Who and found this site and joined right away.

With so many episodes and so many scattered about I was wondering if anybody had them organized start to finish avialable for download or if anybody knew where I could get them. I would love to start right from the beginning. Thanks for any help or time.

Great site....well done

I do, indeed, have every episode of Dr. Who organized and burned onto CDr in KVCD format making them watchable on any VCD compatible DVD Player that also supports CD-Rs. It took me about a year of searching and downloading to compile the entire collection. I got most of my episodes off of WINMX in the chat channel AAA @ Doctor Who Exchange @ but that channel, while it still exists, is not a very good place to get episodes any more. Demonoid (www.demonoid.com) has tons of episodes and I am uploading 3 torrents to this site. They are:

The Complete COllection of Tom Baker

The Complete COllection of Peter Davison

The Complete COllection of Colin Baker

I got all three of these torrents from demonoid and all of them have a pretty decent swarm.

Good luck in your quest!

I would recommend you contact the BBC cos I think they still have about 60 episodes that they think are lost forever.

If uploaders got up to, say, 4 single episode requests they could be bundled into one mix and then downloaders could use their clients to take the one(s) they wanted and leave what they dont want. That would save them uploading single episodes. I guess :)

Funny thing is, I've been creating torrents and uploading everything I have if requested and the only single thing I want now is 1 SINGLE episode.

What I find is a few people who say "I've got this" & "I've got that" and all they can seem to manage is to post a torrent from bloody Demonoid. (RSA and a few others excluded)

My Azureus says I've uploaded more than 120gb, is it too much to ask that someone can do me 1 single 200/300 meg file after they've said they have it.

I'm gooing to up that for you, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow. Ribos Operation (In Fact the entire key to time are some of the ones that I have on retail dvd so I will need to rip it)

Now the important bit, you need to watch the attitude, you seem to think that because I spent the better part of a year downloading and collecting that I owe you something. What are you too good to do the work your self. or are you just too lazy? And you're implication that I am somehow not contributing to the scene is unfounded and entirely innacurate. I have upped more dr who than any single person on this board. The reason that I upped 2 torents from demonoid is because they were requested. A person specifically asked for ENTIRE COLLECTIONS.

Just remember this. . . You'll catch more flys with honey than with vinegar.

hehe, sorry tinpusher.

My post was not aimed at you at all. You upping those complete seasons are a refreshing and very welcome post indeed. It just happened to coincide with what seemed like a thousand and one torrents for single episodes from demonoid being posted which someone went to a lot of trouble to spam "WWW.DEMONOID.COM" in the tiltle. Why not just post "XXX is on demonoid" if there were that many.

You say I think you owe me something, no not at all, I think we probably all owe the BBC something for ripping off their stuff.

Am I too good to do the work myself? I thought I had. Getting together a good quality Tom Baker Complete but asking for help on one elusive episode (not full story) and incidentally it is entirely so that I can upload it for others.

Again tinpusher I must apologise for misunderstanding, when you said you had absolutely all the DrWho, I thought you were offering episodes otherwise your post would have been nothing more than bragging.

As for the rest of your post , ie accusing you of not contributing etc I'm at a loss, I didn't think I'd called you anything, my post about "I've got this" "I've got that" was for someone who'd promised me it by private message.

First off, Good lord I love this site! The new Doctor Who series has pushed me to learning about Bittorrent and I must say that I'm amazed at the quality of a 350 meg episode!

Are the complete collections you have at similar quality (considering the age of the originals of course!)

If they are even close to DVD quality, I might have to buy another hard drive just for Who!

(I've also learned how to seed using Shareaza, so I promise to be more than a leech)

Good show on the collection, I admire your dedication!

Aye this is one helluva Doctor Who site. I wish we could just pip past Demonoid on the Dr WHo seeds, maybe one day now MixxMaster has joined us WOOHOO!

The only bad upload Ive seen is Patrick Troughtons 'Invasion' the sound was tinny at some points and the volume varied from episode to episode, it wasnt the uploaders fault, it was an old VHS rip after all. Maybe if BBC get it on DVD well see a good rip. But it was watchable...just! Apart from that, 95% of most Dr Whos Ive come across on Nites/UKNova and Demonoid are A-OK!

Nice one' date=' you finally got it :) Its one Ill have to pick up one day, Key To Time wasnt one of my top favs as I felt it was the start of the 'comedy' years for T Baker and the start of his slow demise! Still great to watch though![/quote']

Yes... is it just me or is Tom Baker's sixth season... painful for the most part? The only story from that season I have any fondness for at all is CITY OF DEATH.
