Guest Guest
From Slashdot... 'Star Trek: Enterprise' Cancelled? Sci-Fi Posted by CmdrTaco on Tuesday January 18, @02:10PM from the well-that-was-inevitable dept. Tycoon Guy writes "There seems to be no avoiding it this season: TrekToday is reporting that the Enterprise production crew has been told they will all be fired in March, after completing filming on another four episodes. If true, that leaves only very little time to participate in the Save Enterprise campaign. But even if Enterprise is cancelled, all may not be lost: Rick Berman said today he's working on a new Trek feature film that will have "a larger scope and budget" than ever." ibanez
After searching for proof of this, I have noticed some anti-fan sites wanting it to be cancelled, and rumours that it might be, but nothing solid. One site denied it was being cancelled and they say: "Sets currently being built for episodes 20-21, Berman & Braga writing episode 22. Plus: Expect an action-packed second half of the season!" I don't believe they will cancel the show without giving them a chance to pull back the ratings.
zgamesforu
How can they cancel it, They renewed it for 2 seasons, all those actors have contracts. Also there is no way ratings go that low. I guess there is a lot of anti-trek stuff going around because of all the sci-fi shows poping up like Stargate Atlantis and the new battlestar. GLaDio
i say we should do some anti-stargate, anti-batllestar stuff to get back at them :p

xtremeskiing
I have heavy doubts it will be cancelled. This season has been good, real good, just not the last episode
thanatos355
no way. it'll go one till it hits at least 7 seasons, just like the other series. well, except TOS anyway. ;)
hendo001
whats the point in cancelling the show, when a 3 parter and a 2 parter are due starting this week, see www.startrek.com for mor info. The 3 parter is a romulan thing, then the 2 parter is about the klingons, also the klingon thing might explain why that in ToS klingons had flat heads and then by TNG they had got ridges.......... Duggie
This sounds like a bunch of speculation and rumors. This is the same thing that happened a year ago. Lets not get to worried about it until May whan the networks anounce what stays and what goes.

cowman
In the second half of the season, you can expect this: Stories that take place on Andoria, a Klingon moon, Romulan outposts, Romulan Marauders, Orion Privateers, Earth's Moon, Mars, a Constitution-class Federation starship and more. And you'll see a live Tholian... and a Gorn I think I just soiled myself. :p Romulan Outposts - Sweet! Earth's Moon -Awesome! Mars - Cool A Constitution-Class Federation Starship - HOLY CRAP! If the rest of the season's set to be as good as that I better start hosting Enterprise viewing parties!
ibanez
Interesting to see how they do the Constitution Class ship. Will it be in the old colours inside? What about the uniforms? Will they change? So many questions... I guess we'll all have to wait. No way it'll get cancelled with so many things to answer. The series reminds me of Smallville, the precursor to Superman - in subject, not context.
VonHelton
If what Manny says is true, Enterprise will get it's 7 seasons, and maybe even more! A Constitution Class ship isn't supposed to show up for quite awhile yet, I thought?? .....This makes me think they might excede 7 seasons! :cyclops:
wahaha
Don't expect the ship to look the way it does in the movies or old TV show. You know these bozos, always gotta change the design of things to make them seem hip and cool to the young kids, forget about the die hard fans who grew up with the show and want to see the ORIGINAL stuff. You're right......They now have the ability to make it look BETTER! I mean c'mon.........It's easy to tell the TOS version is a plastic model.....!! :cyclops:
Guest Guest
I always thought it was clay. :)
xtremeskiing
i think it was clay, i hope they keep the same basic design, but fix it up to keep up with the 40 years of tech advancements since it was aired
VonHelton
Clay, plastic........whatever. My point is still valid. The "beauty shots" as I like to call them are very dated in TOS.........It's easy to see it's a model hung from strings. :(
lipsmacker
Does anyone have gripes about how Roddenberry changed things from TOS -> ST1 -> ST2? Surely the discrepencies in between those three are pretty drastic... I know I'm looking forward to the rest of this season.
