tinpusher
Hi Folks, I am getting ready to start downloading the complete TNG series and I need to know a couple of things first. How many episodes are there total? How many 2 part episodes are there? If one were planning to put one episode on a disc (for the singletons) and 2 episodes on a disc for the two-parters how many discs would one need total? Thanks in advance for the info. Note: disc=700mb cd-r
NiteShdw
Which versions do you plan on downloading? TNG has 26 episodes per season (Season 2 only has 22 episodes). 172mb Version: It would take 7 CDs, with 4 episodes on each CD. 350mb Version: It would take 13 CDs with 2 episodes on each CD. If you want to know how many 2 part episodes are in each season, then look at this site
Pendrake
I know you might not want to or might not have the money to, but i would highly just suggest getting a dvd-burner. you can get them for really cheap now days. About 50 bucks will get you a pretty decent one. CD's just arent worth it. Heck, as it is, it took me 3 DVD+R's per season of DS9. So, 20 DVD's total. TetsuoShima
Anyone have good or bad experiences with Verbatim DVDR's?
BigDawgAMD
i quit using verbatims because about 1 in 5 would turn into a coaster. I only use TDK or MEMOREX now
Pendrake
Memorex is the shiz. out of 40 discs, ive only gotten 1 coaster. not too bad.
NiteShdw
I buy generic DVD+Rs from mwave.com. They are $9.90 for 50 dics. I have NEVER burnt a 'coaster' out of 50+ DVDs. And, they have played in every DVD player and DVD-ROM that I've tried. Why pay three times as much? I haven't figured it out yet.
Guest c4evap
I just bought some RIDATA 4X DVD-R disks (50/$22.00). Nero doesn't like them. They seem to burn OK but during verification errors appear. Bitsetting didn't help. They freeze in my home DVD player. I found that by using RecordNow DX and bitsetting to DVD-ROM they burn with no problem. EDIT: I usually use FUJIFILM 8X DVD-R. Think I'm going to go back to using them. c4 B)
