Antilles
GEOCOMTEX Not as good as the UNIT website but another fun few pages from the BBC, linked to Dr Who for those who dont know. Cant wait to see what web sites they come up with in the future. I particularly liked one of the FAQ's they have posted in the support page. Q: I keep trying to install RealPlayer on my new 412 Mini. A: Good for you. Keep on trying! It may even work one day! Hehe! Oh and read the disclaimer for the site too (whod be THAT stupid) :)
WreckGar
These linked fake sites are great. Hopefully they'll keep doing them throughout the series.
tinpusher
Yes it would be nice if they kept the current level of enthusiasm but I'm sure that they are only doing to generate more interest in the new series and therby generate more profit. current Mood: Cynical
Antilles
Actually now you mentioned it, I remember a report a few months back that the BBC and ITV have been warned to stop the ratings war i.e each other putting a popular programme out right over another one. In this day and age it doesnt really matter anyway, if someone wants to watch channel A, then they can tape channel B or C etc, or go download it from torrents like we do! :) But yes BBC dont advertise with commercials, only their own product and channels which is why I prefer BBC movies as theyre unbroken with ads. And the license fee is getting phased out by 2008! About frickin time too.

Does that mean the BEEB is going to have commercials (NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
WreckGar
Forgive my ignorance, but what's a licensing fee?
espurious
The License Fee is a yearly cost paid by every household in the UK that owns a TV. It pays for BBC programming and radio as the BBC does not have advertisements. It is a legal requirement to have a license fee if you own one or more televisions, even if you don't watch BBC programming.
WreckGar
So it's sort of like a "luxury tax" on television. Thanks!
