piepie
I downloaded that DS9 Episode, Trials and Tribulations. The Klingon spy was in it, but hadn't really aged much in the last 100 or so years between the 2 series. Do Klingons live long lifes like Vulcans, or that Klingon one of the augmented type (even though the backstory for the ridgeless, wormy type of Klingon hadn't been invented yet)? Stranger
Before the Klingon characters from TOS appeared on DS9, it was assumed Klingons didn't have or need a very long lifespan because of their aggressive nature. Most Klingons would love to kill a legend like Kor, Koloth or Kang in combat just so they can tell great heroic tales about it for the rest of their (probably) short life. ;) So I would have to conclude that those characters still living in the 24th century is not very realistic, but most references to TOS like those were just for fun anyway. Weyoun
According to some websites the Klingon lifespan is at least 150 years. http://klingon.biography.ms/ http://www.answers.com/topic/klingon http://www.economicexpert.com/a/Klingon.htm http://dirs.org/wiki-article-tab.cfm/klingon These are just some of the webpages mentioning Klingon lifespan to be at least 150 years. There are also webpages out there who claim that the lifespan of a Klingon is only 40 years and that Worf for example would only be 15 years of age. This sounds to me less likely than the 150 years mentioned on most webpages dealing with Klingons. The subject is still open to debate but concensus among a lot of fans is that 150 years is plausible. Keep in mind that this is the 23-24th century we're talking about here and that the human lifespan according to other StarTrek sources is well over 100 years by then. I'm sure this will help answering your question. The thing with worf only being 15 doesn't work for me, seeing as his son alexander has aged like a human. Not at all like they had the Jem Hadar child grow up in like a week.
TetsuoShima
No, I agree. 150 seems a lot more reasonable.
