You know' date=' I didn't like what they did with most of the plot in e22, and I felt it was too rushed... but there is one thing that almost makes up for all of it: that final scene. Everyone at home I've shown it to has reacted the same way - that it's a worthy end to Star Trek, with the three ships and the three captains.[/quote']

Maybe they should have been sending that in a 40 minute loop instead of the...well, I already said enough B)

I liked the ending where Picard, Archer and Kirk said these are the voy...

But i wanted to se that seach, he should never have terminated that program.

But again:

I liked the ending where Picard, Archer and Kirk said these are the voyages...

Yes, I was really looking forward to a speech as well. They could have at least done something poignant in that regard.

What a Very dissapointing end to a great series!

A FAT Wobbly Riker & an even bigger Troy!!

Come on guys what the hell was that all about.

I am sad to see it all end, However if this is the best they can come up with for the last episode. Then they were right to cancel it!

"Computer, End program"

How cheesey was that!

My personel fav was In a Mirror Darkly Parts 1 & 2

This would have made a more fitting end.

A worthy finale for Braga&Berman. May they reside in the nine hells of bad writers.

Terra Prime was somewhat decent up to that silly end. Big movement and everything squashed just because their leader is gone? If anything good comes from this then that a hiatus might bring in new people. This time with some ideas please.

I am looking forward to Serenity.

i am sorry but i have just watched the season finale, an it sucked.

its as though the last 4 seasons never happened, all the holodeck stuff, riker & troi !!!!!

or maybe the character stuff was dependent on the holodeck not getting things completely right, as in thinking reed was taller

an awful ending to a promising series

I'll just sorta mirror my post in another thread.

4x21 was good. 4x22 flat out sucked...they intertwined the end of Trek for the forseeable future with a mediocre at best episode of TNG. Out and out making a really really disappointing and (to quote Ms. Blalock) apalling series finale. The death of Trip was awful, especially after watching 4x21. Everyone was torn up over the loss of the child in 4x21, but Trip dies and everybody's acting like nothing happened! Hell, they coulda just wrapped up Enterprise at 4x21 and left it there and it woulda been an acceptable end for the show (though not what it deserved.) The only thing I liked about the finale was the montage between the Enterprise D, NCC 1701 and the NX-01. I liked how they incorporated the TNG and TOS prologues.

What can I say. I am glad to have been part of Enterprise for the past 4 years and feel very strongly that it should have gone further.

Episode 4x21: My wife and I truly enjoy the series and especially the relationship that developed between Trip and T'Pol. It just so happens that I'm a soon-to-be engineer and she actually points up her ears. We both agree that this episode was the true finale.

Episode 4x22: Umm, everything felt fake and forced. Where are the characters we know so well. Was this just a holodeck error? Aside from character flaws, I was expecting to see a little Vulcan-Human child roaming about. But NO. Oh, we just decided to call it quits and lets ruin it for those hopeful fans. The ending was cute, but we were like "Hey, you give us that fake hug and then not even let us hear the Captain's speach? I wanted him to say something in Trip's remembrance at least." Episode 4x21 should have been our sweet ending.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we are all losing the best show on TV as well. (too much nonsense out there).

Enterprise is the one reason we even bother turning on the television because it was entertaining, thought provoking, and sometimes even moving. Hey, it made a trekkie out of my wife and others who were non-trekkies.

Star Trek is great overall.

One more thing on 4x22. Those who became trekkies due to Enterprise were a bit perplexed at the appearance of Riker and Troy. "What are these two doing here and what does it have to do with our crew?"

Terra Prime was a good episode but yea, the finale was crap.

*Spoilers*

A) The sets were wrong (I noticed the conference room and turboshaft sets on Enterprise-D were wrong, they cheaped out I guess)

B) They killed Trip (Not that it was a terrible thing, except they killed him off pretty much so they could kill off a primary character, there wasn't a really good reason for his death. I did like how they teased us about it though!)

C) They tried to integrate it into another TNG episode, they should've just picked a time between TNG episodes for all that to happen if they should've done the TNG integration at all...

It felt VERY fragmented to me, nothing really made logical sense and they tried to fit too much into an hour. Really dissapointing that things had to end on this episode. Perhaps it'll come back in the fall and that last episode will simply turn out to be a nightmare for Trip?

Please?!?!

I just read some of the other posts and I realized something. Perhaps we can believe what we want to about how things ended...

There are still problems with the episode beyond this "fix" but remember, the bulk of this episode focused on the holodeck and the 24th century version of the federations history. As Janeway said in Voyager "How will future generations remember us?" (that quote may be off slightly, lemme know) for all we know Trip was just badly injured but did survive, moved to Vulcan with T'Pol and rocked the bed like nobodys business.

I dunno, use that excuse to fix any of this episodes terrible flaws if ya like. If anyone can figure out the excuse for those Enterprise-D sets being wrong beyond budget, lemme know...

I have been watching Star Trek for a good part of my life

and to end a run with such a watered down ending was

a big let down. If they wanted ideas on how to conclude the

seris then they should have gotten some feedback from the

diehard fans. 4x22 Enterprise will not be known as the end of a Star Trek series but as a inexpensive way to end one.

With that in mind let all us keep the dream alive and think

of things to come. "LIVE LONG AND PROSPER"

Yep... I agree with some of the others..

Terra Prime was a far better way to end Enterprise than that useless episode 22.. These are the Voyages...

No wonder Shatner backed out of it... (actually he was supposed to be Emperor Tiberius in the Mirror Episodes.. now that would have rocked... finding the old Emporer in the place where the tantilus field sends people when they get zapped) then B and B put the nix on that story line and tried to make him the Chef in the final episode!!???

Give me a break... Terra Prime is MY final Episode of Enterprise..... It ended very well with Trip and T'Pol and her gesture of emotion at the death of their child were she placed her hand on his leg.... and CUT... Excellent ending... but wait we have another one........??!!

Interesting how Season 4 was doing so well with some new people at the helm and then Band B come back for the final episode and what do the get???

Another "Hollowdeck" cop-out.......

What was the point of killing off Trip??? stupied way to die.. they have got out of tougher places before that without someone killing themselves...???!!?!?!

Notice how B and B have been trying over the years to make it like TOS never existed? they wanted Enterprise to go straight into TNG.... I bet they were fuming at having to put the Original Enterprsie in the closing shots....

a major complaint about the finale has been that the characters seemed to be, well, out of character. but you have to remember it was a holodeck program and the characters in it were probably based on what the real people were like years into the future. that's why, for example, i liked t'pol's more human touches -- she was much less reserved (read: vulcan-like); even her accent seemed more "typical" american, which would come from years of service/interacting on the enterprise. and don't complain about how riker and troi looked, most people couldn't look the way they did 10 years ago, not even with makeup.

I have to agree with all of you. There is just one thing about the last episode that really fits well and doesn't feel wrong or out of character: that is Riker being Chef, I mean just a short look at him speaks for itself ;)

And then imagine the possibility of the whole series just being a holodeck program played by Commander "Number One" Riker and he chooses to be the chef throughout this whole four seasons? That's hillarious :D

T'Pol's head moved!

In around ±10 minutes into episode 4x22, when Riker and T'Pol were in the kitchen, Riker said "Computer freeze program. Thanks." and then gave T'Pol a kiss.

T'Pol's head and body moved a little bit to sustain the force of the kiss from Riker. A little funny there. Hahaha.

4x21 terraprime was an great episode, I really loved it, especially the touching ending between T'Pol and Trip.

And they really should have ended it there...

B and B rot in the depths of hell! you can't write, and you should never ever be allowed near a Star Trek con again! Actually I think they would be lynched by an angry mob ;)

What the h*ll were they thinking in 4x22 "There were the voyages..."

Bringing back Riker and Troi and killing off Trip... Now that was a senseless and pointless death, just to see if the fans would cry over it. Well the moment the ep started, I was crying, of disappointment. This was no way to end a good series. Really out of character, nothing felt the same...

Though Frakes and Sirtis both did try to make something out of this messy script.

"A valentine to the fans"??? wtf? it felt more like a "'screw you' to the fans"!

There is one good thing about having B and B at the writing helm, we can blame them for killing of a series with a lame ending, and not Reeves-Stevens or Coto, or any of the other writers who really did their best in Season 4.

I totally agree with Joleen Blalock in saying that this was an appalling episode.
