Yammichi Posted May 14, 2005 Share Posted May 14, 2005 Hey everyone, I don't know about the rest of you but I still can't beleive it's over, I can't beleive that there is no more star trek, I feel somewhat empty now that it's all over.....now that there's no more, no more Enterprise, no more Andromeda (My two favourite shows), I felt simillar when the next generation ended but it wasn't quite the same, I knew that I had DS9, and when that ended I knew that I had voyager, and even when that ended I knew I had Enterprise, and Andromeda, but what do we have know, what new voyages, adventures and journeys do we get to have now, what is there for those of us who's imaginations soar every chance they get..........well there is just that......Imagination..........The abillitiy for us to go on great voyages and journeys, adventures and discovery, without even leaving our house, I can't speak for the rest of you but I know that like Gene Roddenberry himself as a child I had a special box, that box was more than a box, it was my starship, it was my tool to discover new worlds, it was my weapon to fight off the hostile aliens, but most importantly it was my escape, my way of leaving this ordinary existance behind, and becomeing the great starship captain I waould see on tv each week, but now that I'm grown and that box is long gone, I say we head to the stars once more, I say we all use our imaginations and try and come up with a new series that we can hopefully pitch and have produced, because as great as they are, it's just not the same watching the old episodes over and over again, I know it seems like something too big to be have happen, but hey if a complete unknown motercycle cop like Gene Roddenberry can walk into a coffee shop and pitch an idea like star trek out of the blue and have a world wide phenomenon like this happen, then emagine what dozens of people could accomplish if they all work together and put thier emaginations to work.................. Although I saw the charm of each series of Star Trek, I always liked the Enterprise series, (I mean all of them from Kirk, to Picard, to Archer), best. The more paramount and UPN executives whose home planet you bombard, the more skill points you get. :D Idea 2 - The above, but without the executives part.
