thraxman
I have a hard time deciding if First Contact or Insurrection is my favorite TNG movie. And yes, I said Insurrection. It dissappointed me when I first saw it at the theater, But a couple years later when I watched it at home, it really grew on me.
p4p4b34r
My favorite would have to be First Contact. I have a huge movie poster of that one hanging up in my room! I think they did justice to the tv series, though the last couple just didn't work as well with me. I have them all though(purchased), and don't regret buying them for a second. i loved first contact
mudcrab
I do like most of them a lot, but am gonna go with the majority :) First Contact is a great Movie. I actually read the Book of the Motion Picture before I saw the movie, umm actually a long time before I saw the movie, and thought it was going to be absolutley fantastic........yep I was not happy when I saw the film. Then again I had the same problem with the LOTR films, guess my imagination made movie is alwasys gonne be better than the real film :)
starscream
has it ever occurred to you that star trek movies have somewhat of a swing?? The Motion Picture....not so good The Wrath of Khan....Awesome The Search For Spock....not so good The Voyage Home....Awesome THe Final Frontier.....hopeless The Undiscovered Country.......Awesome Generations.......not so good First Contact.....Rocks! Insurrection......not so good Nemesis.........Brilliant is it just me or do they make one good and one not so good....in terms of action and story and detail....seems to me only the even numbered trek movies are great enough B)

Marcroft
What i don't get is where Deep Space 9 fits in with voyager or TNG What don't you get - specifically? DS9 Started in season 6 of TNG, then Voy started in DS9's 3rd season. But other then that what is difficult to understand?

hubix
The best movies for me are Generations, First Contact and Insurrection. Nemesis was... weird... I mean, special effect were great, the idea for the story was awesome, but the story itself could've been better. But there was something about this movie that was very different from others. Sometimes I felt like there was a different crew from the one I know. And some things were little "streched up", like the wedding jokes ("shut up Data") or the idea of locking onto a cloaked ship using Troi's telepathic abilities. BTW, how did Shinzon manage to build such a vessel without anybody noticing? Without raising suspicion? Where did he take such enormous recources from? And could really someone like him take over the power in the Romulan Empire? I mean, the Romulan Empire! They could have put Spock somewhere in this movie :) As far as I know, he's still on Romulus... There is so much material for great stories in Star Trek... juhan
You all must be delirious! First Contact was awesome and worthy of a movie. So was Generations because it gave meaning to the Star Trek universe (transfer from one crew to the other). But Insurrection and Nemesis? C'mon guys! Its just like any other TNG episode. Hell, i've seen TNG episodes that told far better stories than these two. Insurrection: Boo Hoo. Some distant relatives with bad exzema wants the anti-wrinkling properties of a planet. Nemesis: Picard has a clone. And the clone doesn't like Picard. What about those episodes like "the Romulans are back.. and they're back for good!" or "Starfleet infiltrated by alien bugs that like to stick their heads into other people's heads". Those were classic, even though Remus' body explosion left alot to be desired. I'm not mocking these startrek movies. But as movies, they needed to be of the First Contact quality. Deep storyline, superb scenes etc etc. Ok, so its not the first time they wanted to blow up their ship, but hey, we finally get to see the beginning of it all. =Han=

Nemesis wan't just about the graphics - it had a good story that led up to the final battle between Picard and Shinzon and how Picard has to kill himself in a way.... TFMF
I think Nemesis was a stand off. It was so not-TNG... I think if the film was longer and we got to know more of the characters as the were then, then it might have been better.
