not sure if the regeneration will be aired in Parting of the ways or in the Christmas special but apparently Rose is not all that keen on the tenth Dr and it makes no mention of Jack one way or the other so this may be his au revoir as it were in the next two eps

I agree. I think that it's sad that the mad-cap zaniness of this cast will probably be pretty short lived. I'm looking forward to David Tennant, I guess (I'm resigned to Christopher Eccleston leaving), but the dynamics feel great now, between Rose the Doctor and Jack. (Boom Town comedy rocked)

I guess we'll see.

Note: Did anyone else notice that David Tennant Narrated the Doctor Who kick-off special? (forget the name, but the one that aired an hour or so before the premiere) That bodes well, I suppose. Seems Davies knew what was happening a while back, perhaps.

Maybe its all a trick and christoepr eccleston is staying on, and they just want us all to think he is going to die in the next episode!!! so he's about to die, and then!! he doesn't!!!!

That would be good, i've really enjoyed the new doctor chris really knows how to act well, and I like the emotion he really added to the doctor well if he's gone at least there will be a regeneration sequience and that will be exciting and all, hopefully i will enjoy David Tennant as the doctor as much or more!!! and I hope Jack stays on, which i think he might for sex appeal for female viewiers which that purpose was quiet apparent in the last ep(bad wolf)

yea I think that CEs intensity has been outstanding . the flakiness of prior Drs has been set aside as the Dr now contends with his planets destruction and in a way his role in it ie sucess in Genesis would mean Galifrey would be around today

I think that CE's intensity is perfect for this Doctors situation, alone.

I like the eccenticity of prior Doctors, but the underlying sadness that CE brings to the character wouldnt fit all that well.

Of course, then again, thats why it's called acting.. perhaps it could work with a more humorous Doctor (not that CE is'nt funny, he's just not Tom baker loopy if you get my drift)

if you watch the previews to ep 13 looks like there may be an explanation wont go further no spoilers yet .

Knowing RTD it will be something cool, I am now counting down the days to ep. 13. Wow, what a weekend that will be. Batman Begins on 16th, 17th my Birthday and Wedding Anniversary and then 18th final Doctor Who!
