I think the Daleks would win. Remember the Daleks aren't up against a human' date=' they're up against Time Lords, and they still seem to never quite get vanquished.[/quote']

But they are always defeated - by 1 time lord most of the time.

... so are the Borg' date=' by whatever happy crew is flying the starship-of-the-moment at the time, so those factors cancel out. ^^'[/quote']

Yes but the Daleks never exterminate the doctor - they always secure him somwhere where he can escape - they could just exterminate him but no.

At least the borg managed to assimilate Picard, Jaynway, destroy the federation fleet twice with one cube each time.

The Daleks considered his mind too valuable for pure extermination... they wanted to copy it first... and several times, the Doctor has fled Dalek-dominated territory and more than once he admitted that he only delayed them, not stopped them... they conquered Earth a couple of times, and were mentioned to have destroyed countless worlds.

... and you'll find that's much like what has happened to the Borg in Star Trek. They destroyed countless worlds and assimilated countless pecies, but are always stopped by the current Federation representative for the given series.

Heh... while rewatching cyberman episodes, the Borg seem more and more of a ripoff of them ^^... maybe the Borg came from a world in another galaxy, and originated on a planet called Mondas? ^^' All they would have to do is add some nanomachines to cyber convert instead of booths, and they're set.

The Cybermen only look a bit like the Borg - The cybermen are independent, have personalities (though small) and act differently to the borg.

The old cybermen ,however, were much more like the borg - sounded more like them and all cybermen then thought alike

20 long dedicated pages to something that we will never have an answer for ?

but there is a way to actually figure it out .I think that RTD should buy the Borgs and put them in some Dr Who shows and have a showdown between them and the Daleks while the Dr is just a spectator .

I know RTD would be fair in deciding a winner

I think that paramount and the BBC should get together to do a big screen movie of the Daleks Vs the BORG. The americans have always been keen on the Daleks and Star Trek is going for a break at the moment. The Nation estate would have no problem with it, as Terry Nation once tried to take the Daleks to America to have their own show.

However, I do think that the BORG would need help, perhaps from the Xindi or some other pwerful race. The Star Trek races combine against this new foe. Alternativly, This could be set so far into the future that it does contradict anything in Star Trek and the BORG could then have developed sufficiently to combat the Daleks, who have just entered this alternative Universe.

yes it is, but just for the record, that prequel trilogy is still under consideration, but the next Star Trek project will probably be a big screen adventure with a whole new crew, set after TNG.

But back to the subject at hand, I've noticed quite a few posts stating the fact that, as the BORG are based on the Cybermen, they are so similar, so a battle between the Daleks and the Cybermen would give us a clear indication of this battle too, although I think that the Cybermen would also need the help of other races. Humans for example.
