coolcat13
very true .if the Borg some how assimilated the Daleks it would be a borg victory .I just dont see that happening
Fenriswolf
The real problem is which Universes' laws apply. If you are in the Trek Universe things work a lot differently compared to the Doctor's Universe. This is why, these things in general are a bad idea and so forth. I will admit however for the most part people have been extremely mature in the subject's discussion.

r0xx
Well, I am sorry but those "Daleks" look kinda..... gay. Good thing I voted for Borg because they will obvisously win from an oversized, ugly vacuum-cleaner.

JonSlater
Oh and I still think the Daleks would win' date=' but Rose would kick all their backsides! (To get on topic again)[/quote'] well it was really the Tardis that killed them all last time WARNING - DOCTOR WHO SPOILERS AHEAD Actually, Rose used the TARDIS to absorb the energy of the Time Vortex itself - the TARDIS was just the portal to the Vortex. THAT was what destroyed the Daleks (albeit guided by the Bad Wolf entity), not the TARDIS. That energy was sufficient to kill the Doctor just from a brief exposure - "no-one's supposed to do that!" when he returned it through the TARDIS back to where it came. It was only becuase Rose didn't know what she was doing that this power was accessed, and that is why the Time Lords didn't do it. Still, in order to destroy the Time Lords the Daleks must have had some pretty powerful tech to pass the transduction barrier - a barrier across TIME as well as space, remember? Also, RTD has stated catagorically that the Time War in his series is NOT the one in the books, or the audios. For them to be cannon, the Time Lords would have to be destroyed, get better and then get destroyed again. OK, back to lurking again.
GorunNova
I don't know... I guess the Daleks seem more impressive if you've grown up watching them on TV, coldly slaughtering dozens of people or more for no real reason other than they're different. Yes, I'd like to know how the Daleks got through the Transduction Barrier too. Also, in the Big Finish Audios, the Timelords weren't destroyed, so they could still be cannon. (Why the word cannon?) Fenriswolf
It should be canon not cannon.
taq22
But is it in the dictionary or did someone on the site start it?
Fenriswolf
It derives from Greek, but in relation to science fiction and other subjects - well, here you go: http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Misc/Canon.html
petra1989
The Rutons and the Sontarians got hrough the barrier before. All it takes it someone shuting the switch off.

TFMF
has anyone else written their own version of the Time War? No - i think it's best just to have that part of Doctor Who history a mystery
coolcat13
I think that parts of the Time War will continue to flow out and build the background. as for the Sontarans getting by the Transduction barrier remember that they forced a race to infiltrate the Matrix and that the Dr was trying to route out the infiltrators when he lowered it .
