daffydk
Im sorry, but isnt it Dukat and not Dukak? You are right. Its a typo.. spelling isnt my thing! :) I hope I dont do that someday with some poor fella's prescription!
elderbear
There is no accounting for taste Very true. I liked the first half of DS9 more, with all the independant episodes. All that war was a bit too grim for me... My favourite eps are Trials and tribble-ations, Little Green Men and Children of Time. Why do men always like war and fighting so much??? 'Cause it gets them in good with the chicks! ;) We need more Lysistratas in this world ...
GorunNova
... and less Antigones. All that crap over a bloody burial...
Soulreaper
As we've "debated" befor - DS9 became more and more about true and pure character development as opposed to TNG and the others (it's not really possible to do when there's 'no history' and only standalone episodes). I'm still angered over the end of Fire Fly... I'd bet a billion bucks if Firefly was given 7 seasons it would kick EVERYTHING's A$$. Shame they got sacked ;/ well anyone being on the IRC channel know how I felt about that :D Elderbear: I thought Taken was very good however it's not one of those that you see over and over again; once thoroughly seen the magic is gone, no surprises etc. etc. With Startrek it's so much that it's possible to easier miss some details hence it's re-watchable at least once. B5 was like that too.

I have to totally agree with soul, DS9 from season 4 onwards was brilliant, i still cant see why some people say enterprise was better...to me there is no competion, DS9 had much more feel and character building....enterprise didnt...arrrh well no account for poor taste hehe

GorunNova
Then you haven't watched Firefly.... :D Hey..I'm a DS9 advocate!! Still, I'd rate Firefly first, DS9 as the second best and Taken as the third best. ... didn't Firefly get cancelled?

Tv CEO's are idiots...
GorunNova
I've noticed... they almost invariably cancel the best shows and advertise / keep crap...
maverick
most eps with worf are cool. also most with bashir. obrien while a good character has fairly boring episodes - the old soldier enduring more punishment routine goes too far. dax eps were good before ezri and cisko eps are consistantly good. on the whole though ...ing brilliant
hunterr
Yeah i heard from a lot of trekkies that they prefer DS9 above all. I just started to watch is from the beginning for the first time (since it has been released here)And to be honest he first season sucked. (emissary was brilliant) I am convinced that the Defiant and the dominion war will change things.. But for now Voyager is still my favourite

bbbb
It must have been long, watching all of DS9. I commend you for making such a commitment. Really, it takes a lot of commitment to watch all of DS9 at once.
Mik3y
DS9 is not a patch on Voyager IMO :) I've watched all ST series and love them all, but nothing compares to Voyager IMO, every time I watch it I become one of the crew, its just awesome. I wish I could afford to buy the original DVD set, but its like £50 for 1 season DVD
