martog
I have always been facinated with music. It is human. All are built to wonder at the unexplored and our travels in music are no different than charting some unexplored mass in space. Given that the forum members are as diverse and complex as a falling leaf, I would love to hear what artists and composers can be found in your playlists. Here are some of my favorite artists and works (in no particualr order): Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks are two of my favorite albums of all time. Bright Eyes - Digital Ash In a Digital Urn, Fevers and Mirrors Neil Young - Are You Passionate Johnny Cash and the Highwaymen - American Recordings Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah Pink Floyd - The Final Cut, Animals Radiohead - Ok Computer Nick Drake Tom Waits - Martha, Time, That Feel, etc. Bach - Glenn Gould, Bela Fleck A Perfect Circle

Fenriswolf
I listen to film soundtracks mostly so I don't really have much in the way of artists. Hans Zimmer, Klaus Badelt, John Williams, Danny Elfman, Harry Gregson Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and many more can be found in my playlist however. Antipodean
Nothing wrong with Classical music, though personally I prefer more contemorary composers like Phillip Glass and Peter Sculthorpe. Other fav composers of mine would include Orff, Michael Nyman, Bach (OF COURSE!), Smetana, Mussorgsky & Shostakovich. And outside of classical music my fav musicians wld include: U2, Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, David Bowie, John Coltrane, Nina Simone, The Freestylers, Massive Attack, The Herbaliser, The Smiths, The Pogues, Tricky, Franz Ferdinand, Jimi Hendrix, INXS, Gorillaz, The Doors & Black Eyed Peas.
