Potato
Hey, Fenris, at least you've seen CE. I haven't even seen that series.
paniq
Looks good - I guess they are going more for the less CGI influenced. A two parter will help as I thought the single dalek episode, whilst good, was more just tipping a hat to the old series. Do you think its risky bringing back old foes? Shouldn't be. Bob43434
I don't think it's risky bringing back classic foes. It keeps a level of continuity between the classic and the new series. I just think making the two parter about the second most popular Monstor in Doctor Who history is a risk. It might appeal to Doctor Who fans, but the new series audience might not like it. RTD might even not be able to pull it off effectively. Remeber, Dalek was an adaption of the Big Finish play Jubille by it's author who is a Doctor Who veteran. Potato
Fortunately RTD didn't write the Cyber story.
paniq
Is it the same who've done the BF cyber stories??

Potato
Not that I'm aware of...I know that Marc Platt wrote Spare Parts for Big Finish and he is not the author of the new TV Cyber story. I'm not sure who else wrote BF Cyber stories at the moment but the TV guy's name didn't ring a bell with me.
Potato
My budy screwed up the CE Discs he was making for me, they only work in his XBOX not in a regular DVD player. But the series will be out here in the US in Feb, so I'll see it eventually
paniq
I like the cyber voice used for BF-cyberman series, but will they dare use a similar version for the tv series? The Dalek had "emotion" in its delivery, will they do something similar, or maybe go back to the human-voice style?
GorunNova
*POSSIBLE SPOILER!!!* (ya, right...) Just watched the Cyberman maybe-a-second-long teaser at the end of the Christmas Invasion... Dammit, when is the next season starting?! >_<

Underwater Flanger + Chorus Flange + Pitch Shifter + Compression = Brutal as F**k Robot voice.
